On a lovely spring afternoon, Stretford Grammar Girls Rugby took part in their first tournament. Rising to the occasion, they approached the challenge full of confidence and determination and produced some scintillating play. They won their first three games with try’s worthy of the 6 Nations, followed by a gritty defeat and a hard fought draw against a number of teams including Blessed Thomas Holford, Loreto Girls Grammar School and Ashton on Mersey. Particularly noteworthy performances came from Esther with crunching tackles, Lana with great passing and Sofia and Lorena with arching runs to cut through the defence.  

Well done to all the girls; they represented the school with credit!
