Kooth Visit Our School to Talk to Year 7 Students
Kooth's Inspiring Assembly at Stretford Grammar School
This week, Year 7 students at Stretford Grammar School had the opportunity to attend an engaging and informative assembly delivered by Kooth, the award-winning online mental health and well-being platform. The assembly explored the wide range of support and resources Kooth offers, helping students to navigate their emotions and mental well-being as they continue the transition into secondary school.
During the assembly, representatives from Kooth explained how their platform provides a safe and confidential space for young people to access professional mental health support. They highlighted key features such as live chats with counsellors, peer-supported forums, and self-help tools, all of which are free to use. The presentation encouraged students to think about their own well-being and reinforced the importance of seeking help when needed.
Mrs. Dolphin, Stretford Grammar School’s safeguarding lead, expressed her enthusiasm for the initiative, saying, “Kooth is an invaluable resource for our students. Their assembly was not only engaging but also empowering, reminding Year 7 that it’s okay to talk about their feelings and seek help when they need it. At Stretford Grammar, we are committed to supporting our students’ mental health, and Kooth’s platform aligns perfectly with that goal.”
The assembly was well-received by students, many of whom expressed an interest in exploring Kooth’s services. One student shared, “I liked learning about Kooth because it made me feel like there’s always someone there to help, even if I don’t want to talk to a teacher or parent.”
Stretford Grammar School is proud to collaborate with organisations like Kooth to ensure our students have access to vital resources to thrive both academically and personally. Parents and carers are encouraged to visit Kooth's website to learn more about the platform and how it can support their children.
