GCSE Success
After 2 years of a Covid impacted education, Year 11 shine!
Stretford Grammar School is celebrating another year of outstanding GCSE results, which are testament to the hard work of our students and the dedication and tenacity of staff and parents. This year, 70% of all grades were 7, 8 and 9. Impressively, 45 students achieved 9 or more grades of 7,8,9 (28%). Our GCSE cohort has shown real perseverance and determination over the last 5 years. What started out as a interrupted and punctuated education has ended with some wonderful results.
There were some incredibly impressive sets of results from the following students who achieved grades 8 and 9 in all of their examinations:
Amir; Suzannah; Kirsty; Dario; Zain; Cillian; Archie; Sophie; Pearl and Georgia.
A special mention goes to Tess who achieved an incredible 10 grade 9s – her hard work and determination over 5 years is thoroughly deserved.
As a school, we pride ourselves on the closeness of our community, the pastoral support and the guidance of both teachers and parent/carers alike, and we believe that such a highly personalised approach to each student has prepared them for these exams and life beyond academia – well done to all!
