After learning about the history of the centre, year 9 pupils spent the morning discussing key beliefs such as Ramadan, the Qur’an, the importance of wudu and why Muslims pray. Pupils were even able to try on some traditional Islamic dress! Pupils had the opportunity to explore the House of Wisdom, which showcases the contributions made by Muslim civilisation, including areas such as astronomy, medicine, science and architecture. A knowledge-filled morning!
