LinguaFest
LinguaFest celebrated at SGS!
As part of the European Day of Languages, today Stretford Grammar School celebrated its first LinguaFest; a language's festival that celebrated our rich diversity of language and cultures in our school community. Students and staff painted their faces with the flags of countries whose languages they spoke and students came together to participate in lively Lingua Challenges! It has been a fantastic day where students have shared their mother tongue languages with each other and swapped cultural highlights in animated conversations with students learning about each other’s cultures. This weekend our students have the exciting Lingua Challenges of Lingua Chef, Lingua Secret Agent and Lingua Promote. These opportunities offered our students to further explore other cultures and languages helping to broaden their horizons and bringing our school community together even more. It has been a fabulous way to start our linguistic journey this academic year and one that we will make an annual event!
