The Year 9 Netball team began with their first match against North Cestrian, with a comfortable 4 - 0 win with some outstanding shooting from Princess Cole. Fixtures continued against Urmston Grammar with another fantastic 4 ? 0 win. We then faced a very tough Wellington side. The whole team showed great determination, with some superb defensive skills from Sofia Choudhry; the result, a 4 - 2 loss! The final game of the group stages was against Ashton on Mersey; a very close, competitive match,  which saw all the girls perform particularly well. Unfortunately, the score went against them and it ended 6-4 to AOM.

Overall, the Year 9 team finished 3rd in the group, narrowly missing out on a semi-final place. Well done girls, you were fantastic!
