The team, captained by Glorianna Moynihan, headed to Urmston Grammar School to take on the home team and Ashton on Mersey. The first game against Urmston proved to be a tough one and their defence was strong. The game ended 3-0 to Urmston, but changes at half-time showed the team gelling together more and playing more as a team. Amelia Higgins played a great game as centre and was a real link between the attack and defence. Moving on to play Ashton on Mersey, our defence really shone. Maryam Asr and Maddie Cookson played some outstanding netball and made it really difficult for the opposition.
