Year 10, captained by Lorena Prokop-Sanchez.....made a strong start against Wellington, producing some of the best phases of play we’ve seen from them. The end result was a 6-4 loss but in comparison to previous results against the same team, the girls have improved incredibly and closed the gap each time. Sale Grammar proved slightly tougher competition but the score line didn’t represent how close the game was. The end result was 7-1 to Sale Grammar and something we can aim to improve for the next fixture. The last game of the day was against Ashton on Mersey and, due to time constraints, the game was a lot shorter and ended in a 1-1 draw. Stand-out performances came from Captain Lorena Prokop-Sanchez, Lana Zabadne and Georgia Cowgill, who played in the new position of Goal Keeper and proved this could be a permanent move for her.
