Captains Ruby Myin and Alice Noakes led the team well with a close game against BTH to start with, losing by only 1 rounder. The following game against Ashton-on-Mersey also saw a close finish again, with us drawing up until their last batter. Sale Grammar A and Wellington proved to be tough competition, with both teams progressing onto the finals. We then played Stretford High School in the playoff game and after a strong batting innings, we needed to field just as well to strive for the win. Stretford High had some great batters and tested our fielding in the last minutes of the game. The team as a whole really worked well together and there were some great performances from Maddy Vendy and Roe Smith. Captains Alice and Ruby were strong leaders throughout and led by example from the start.
