GCSE Business Studies Visit to JCB
47 Business and Design & Technology students recently visited the JCB factory in Staffordshire......
.Students were given the opportunity to learn about how the company was founded and has grown to be the market leader in the construction vehicle industry. Students were able to see first-hand how innovative ideas were created, designed and become reality through their production in the factory. They were even able to see Joseph Bamford’s office where a number of huge contracts were signed. The highlight of the trip was the visit to the factory floor. Students were able to walk along side workers who were assembling a range of vehicles that were being prepared to be distributed across the world.
“I really enjoyed the trip, it helped bring the theory we learn in the classroom to life. It was amazing to see how passionate our tour guides were about the company, it shows that JCB must really look after their employees.” Thomas Allanson, 11S
