Wednesday 8^th June witnessed the return of The Trafford Schools Girls Athletics Competition at Longford Park, an event which has been sorely missed over the last couple of years due to COVID. A team of 35 girls across Year 7 – 10 represented Stretford Grammar School across all major disciplines.

All who took part showed outstanding effort and enthusiasm throughout the day with some outstanding performances on display

Year 7:

Sofia Choudhury and Princess Bolu Cole – 100m - 1^st and 3^rd

Zoe Flint - Discus 2^nd

Year 8:

Georgia Cowgill and Esther Okode – Shot Putt - 1^st

Year 9:

Nifemi Jafojo and Pearl Prescod – 100m - 1^st

Oluchi Ezekiel and Hannah Baghban Mohammady – 200m 3^rd

 Suzannah Ford –800m -  4^th

Aasiayah Goga and Pearl Prescod-  Shot Putt 2^nd

Year 10:

In the 800m and 1500m there were excellent performances from Esme Turner and Fay Lewis
