Stretford Grammar School students showcased their theatrical talents in the English-Speaking Union’s Performing Shakespeare competition, earning praise for their creativity, skill, and passion. Isla, Noah, Hiyabel, Alessandro, Bonita, Polly, Tomisin, Lucy, and Danett all delivered outstanding performances, impressing judges and audiences alike.

The competition provided students with the opportunity to bring Shakespeare’s timeless works to life, demonstrating their ability to interpret and perform complex texts. Each student brought their unique flair to the stage, embodying the spirit of the Bard’s works with confidence and charisma.

Particularly notable were Lucy, Polly, and Tomisin, who have been selected to represent Stretford Grammar School in the next round of the competition. The trio will compete at a North West school next March, showcasing their skills on a larger stage and continuing to make their school proud.

Dr. Quipp, who coached and supported the students throughout the competition, expressed immense pride in their achievements. “Our students have shown exceptional dedication and talent in preparing for this competition. Their performances were inspiring, and I’m thrilled to see Lucy, Polly, and Tomisin advance to the next round. We’ll be cheering them on as they represent Stretford Grammar School next year,” said Dr. Quipp.
