Iceland 2024
Just before half-term, the Geography Department took Year 11 students to Iceland
The group were fully immersed in the geography of Iceland for the entire trip, visiting the national park where the North American and Eurasian plates meet, seeing the impact of volcanic activity, and experiencing some of the benefits of Iceland’s geography; the hot spring pools, spectacular waterfalls, geothermal greenhouses (“best tomatoes I have ever eaten Miss!!”) and stunning scenery. The group also experienced the world-famous geyser, the beautiful black sands beach, and northern lights.
