In the first game against Flixton, the team were a bit shaky and finding their feet. The game ended with a 1-0 loss. Moving on to St Anthony’s, the team were a bit more confident and some great movement from Ava Wong as Goal Attack and Cece Iles as Centre helped the team to a 3-0 win. The final game against Ashton-on-Mersey showed the team have real potential, and they came away with a 4-1 win. Alexis Olaoye and Irene Akande were excellent in defence and didn’t let much past them in all games. We finished with a friendly against St Anthony’s where the team were able to demonstrate their confidence, and they came away from that with a win as well. A positive start to their first season.
