Year 11 Boys Rugby

The Year 11 Rugby Team hosted Wellington High School in a friendly but war-like fixture.

Alisdair Broadbent captained the team, leading by example in defence ensuring every tackle was executed with maximum aggression and technique. Excellent defensive spells came from chop tackles by Hashim Baig, Josh Watson, and George Bryden. Wellington matched our defence with equal intensity. The game finished at a low scoring 5-5 with our Vice-Captain Matthew Glazebrook blasting through a gap by the side of a ruck to pick and go on to the try line. Player of the Match went to George Bryden for his leadership in the line out, strong tackles, and nominating himself to carry the ball in powerful forward runs. “Bring on the next one!”, said all the boys afterwards.
