After a slow start against a strong Altrincham Girls, we moved onto Sale Grammar School B which was a close game, seeing some strong batting from Ruby Myin (Y9) and Natir Abouzakhar (Y10) but losing the game just at the end. Sale Grammar A were our next opponents and saw us start strong in the field, getting a couple of their players out quickly. They returned the favour when it was our turn to batt and they went on to win by a small margin. Flixton were our last opponents in the group stage and this is where we played our best. Great teamwork and communication from Alice Noakes (Y9) and Rahmat Bayo (Y10 and Captain) as backstop and bowler helped the team work really well when fielding. Flixton came back fighting and took the win on the last batter. We played Wellington for 8^th/9^th position and had a strong score from batting going into the field. After a closely fought game, Wellington took the win. The team showed great resilience and teamwork and against schools with full Year 10 teams, they performed amazingly well.
