Year 11 Business students embarked on a comprehensive tour of JCB’s headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire.  The tour started with an insight into the company’s rich history through engaging exhibits. Students were also given an overview of JCB’s business model and how the business has expanded from humble beginnings. Whilst touring one of the factories which produces the Backoe, it could be seen how innovation meets engineering excellence during the manufacturing process, and how the supply chain management is crucial to JCB operating a just-in-time process. Knowledgeable guides walked the students through the intricate processes, showing JCB’s commitment to greener technological advancements. The tour ended at the shop which gave students the opportunity to purchase the branded products.
