National Championships - Sheffield
We are proud to announce that Johnny came third at the National Championships.
On Sunday the 9th of February, Johnny Jones in 8R competed in the National Athletics Championships where he travelled across the Pennines to Sheffield - the Blue Ribbon event of the indoor calendar!
Jonny competed in the Under-15 boys Shot Putt event, where he represented his club, Trafford Athletics.
He was the only 12-year-old to qualify for the event in this age category and increased his 4kg Shot Putt by 1 whole metre to 14m 34cm earning him bronze at the championships!
